Visit the best craftwork center in Santiago

Every traveller knows it. Beeing the last day in the country and haven't bought any gifts for friends yet. But where in Santiago one is able to find a good souvenir 7 days a week ? ...

If Pedro de Valdivia had known it, he would have bought some souvenirs as well for his spanish family back in Europe. Because nowadays one finds a great “Souvenir Centre“ just in front of the foundation hill “Santa Lucia“.
From colorful craft work, purses and shirts with typical chilean phrases, you will be able getting even copper cutlery, hats, funny “Indio picaros“ and much more. The centre is open every day of the week between 10:00 and 18:00, and just 2 blocks away from the subway station “Santa Lucia“. The entrance is free and not only tourists are seen – many chileans come over as well just to walk around and have a look.
