Nur wenige Minuten vom Stadtpark "Parque Forestal" und der Innenstadt entfernt, liegt der Bezirk "Patronato".
Einwanderer aus arabischen und asiatischen Ländern öffneten einst ihre ersten Geschäfte Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts.
Seitdem ist die Anzahl stark gestiegen, und heutzutage findet man viele kleine Läden, die alle verschiedenen Arten von Kleidung in unterschiedlichsten Farben anbieten. Aber nebenbei hat man auch die Möglichkeit, ausländische Restaurants aus Ländern wie z.B. Korea, Peru, China oder Saudi-Arabien zu besuchen. Der einfachste Weg, um nach Patronato zu gelangen, ist der Ausstieg bei der U-Bahn-Station "Patronato" der gelben Linie Nummer 2. 

Die Geschäfte sind von Montag bis Samstag, von 10:00 bis 17:00 geöffnet - an manchen Tagen sogar bis später. Die einzigen Sicherheitsmassnahmen, die getroffen werden müssen, sind das Zuhause-Lassen von grossen Wertgegenständen wie Schmuck oder Kameras. Mit einigen wenigen Geldscheinen und Münzen in der Tasche, sollte man keine Probleme haben. Als gefährlich gilt der Stadtbezirk zwar nicht, aber leider gibt es immer Personen, die grosse Menschenmengen und Gedränge ausnutzen - besser auf Nummer sicher gehen.

What do you think what part of Santiago de Chile is crowded every day from Monday til Saturday with around 10 000 people ? 

Just a few minutes from the "Parque Forestal" and the city centre, "Patronato" is located. Immigrantes from arabian and asian countries opened their first shops in the beginning of the 20th century.

The district has been growing a lot and nowadays one finds plenties of small shops offering all sorts of clothes in all colores, different supermarkets from many foreign countries, cozy restaurants and fast food places.

The easiest way to arrive is to get to the subway station called "Patronato" on the yellow line N°2. Sundays are the only days when almost each store is shut, every other day is busy.

As there are a lot of people, precautions must be taken. Don't bring and/or don't show a huge camera or in general jewelry and just take a small amount of money with you. The area is not dangerous, but pick-pocketting happens once in a while, so better be prepared.

Imigrantes de países asiáticos y árabes eran los primeros que abrieron sus tiendas a comienzo del signo 20. Desde allí ha crecido mucho y uno hoy en día encuentra muchas tiendas ofreciendo ropa de todos los colores, supermercados de muchos países extranjeros, pequenos restaurantes y lugares de comida rápida.

La manera más facil de llegar es con el "metro" a la estación "Patronato" de la línea amarilla número 2. Los domingos las tiendas seguramente estarán cerrados, pero todos los otros días hay mucho movimiento. Como hay mucho gente, es mejor tomar unas precauciones y no llevar grandes cosas de valor. Tampoco es recomendable llevar mucho dinero. El área no es peligroso, pero pasan robos escondidos de vez en cuando, por eso es mejor estar preparado.

Das Zentrum ist jeden Tag die Woche von etwa 10:00 - 18:00 geöffnet, und liegt nur 2 Häuserblocks von der U-Bahn-Haltestelle der roten Linie 1 "Santa Lucia" entfernt.

Der Eintritt ist frei und es sind nicht nur Touristen zu sehen - ebenso machen viele Chilenen ihre Runde, um einen Blick zu werfen.
